Willie Mack Hockett, Sr.

Willie Mack Hockett, Sr. was born in Nashville, TN on August 9, 1953. He departed this life on October 13, 2021. Willie is preceded in death by his father Charles Hockett, Sr., mother Mary Hockett, sister Mary Harney and son, Willie (Will) Hockett, Jr.

Willie was educated in Davidson County at North High School where he ran track. He would go on to graduate in 1971. His first job was at a local grocery store where he became the manager. After graduating he became a certified plumber. He wed Mary Williamson in 1972 with whom he had 4 children. Willie lived to make his kids and grandkids laugh and keep them happy. He loved music and classic cars. He also enjoyed building model cars, watching Nascar and collecting various treasures. Willie was a dedicated member of the Jehovah’s Witness organization and attended services at the East Congregation.
Willie is survived by his son Vincent Hockett, daughter Tiffany (Frank) Crowder, son Tevarés (Kerin) Hockett and loving daughter (in-law) Chenoa Hockett. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren: Aaliyah Haley, Jaxson & Cassidy Crowder, Dhaivion, Devon, Brendan, Desmond, Samiyah and Tevarés Hockett, Jr. He will be missed by siblings Barbara McNealy, Charlene Keeling, Linda McClellan, Charles (Regina) Hockett, Jr. and Delores Hockett. His smile and sense of humor will truly be missed but the memories he provided to his friends, family and loved ones will live on.
