Wendell Myron Taylor was born on August 11, 1963 to the union of Yovonne Williams and William Manning in Nashville, Tennessee. He gained his wings and entered eternal life on Monday, March 14, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father; brothers, Rollie ‘Lil Bra” Taylor, Anthony “Pumpkin”, cousin and nephew, Andrea Mayfield.
Wendell received his formal education in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School system graduating from Pearl-Cohn High School in 1981. He accepted Christ at an early age uniting with Olivet Missionary Baptist Church.
Wendell worked for 7 years at Shoney’s Warehouse and many years at Vanderbilt. He enjoyed riding his bike, grilling, reading his daily paper. He was also a beast on the football field which he earned the name “Crow” and loved baseball. He will be missed dearly by all his loved ones.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his son, Marcus (Shanta) McCarrol; daughter, Kiara Starnes; grandchildren, Malaijah Cemajae, Jacciri; siblings, Stephon (Karen), Deborah, Leslie, Michael (Freda), Tamika, Stephanie, and Kelly; devoted nieces, Triae, Precious, Nikita (Del), Shatika, Connie, Adrieene; nephews, Michael (Monique) Jr., Melvin (Jureeka), Anthony, Steffeno; devoted great nieces, Laprincea, Ke’lisha, Mar’Keria; devoted great nephew, Marquis; devoted friend, Andre Simpson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitaion Saturday, March 26, 2022, 11-12 with funeral to follw at Olivet M.B. Church 144 Ewing Drive.
