Walter Lee Sanders

Mr. Walter Lee “Buddy “ Sanders was born August 19, 1951 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to the union of George L. Sanders and Leatrice Jackson Sanders. He departed this fruitful life on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee

“Buddy” accepted Christ at an early age. He was united with New People’s Deliverance Temple. He was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Schools and was a graduate of North High School.

Buddy was married to the love of his life Vannessa Elain Sanders for over 43 years.

Buddy was employed by several entities to include, Nashville Wire, Brett’s Buy Rite Grocery Store, Tree and Company, Westminster Presbyterian Church and Krispy Kreme.

In his spare time, He enjoyed working on cars, listening to Old R & B and gospel music, fishing, landscaping, family time playing basketball, bass guitar but mostly spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife, Vannessa Sanders, daughters, Patricia (Ronald) Robertson, Annette Sherrill, Mauricesa Sherrill, Jasmine Dunlap, sisters, Georgia (Ricardo) Lang, Beatrice (Arthur) Box, Katherine “Kat” Martin, Cora (Kevin) Walker, brothers, John “Moose” Sanders, Milton (Diane) Sanders, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
