Violet Harrison-Offutt

Ms. Violet “Baby” Harrison Offutt affectionately known to all as “Baby” was born January 14, 1951, to the late Edward and Violet Harrison. She was the fourth of seven children born to this union. She professed a faith in Christ at an early age and attended Metro Davidson County Schools. Baby was employed at Westside Hospital where she was a Nurse Technician.

Baby had a heart full of love and big as life itself! She would give her last for someone else to have! To know her was to truly love her. She was the epitome of love. She was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, Maurice “Man” and Darshell “Yoggie”

Baby’s hobbies included watching western movies with Gun Smoke being #1 and Audie Murphy being her favorite actor. She also enjoyed watching NCIS New Orleans. Perhaps her most enjoyable thing was going out to eat and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which brought her great joy!

She was preceded in death by her son, Maurice Harrison, Sr., her parents, Edward and Violet Harrison, brother, Edward Harrison, Jr., and sister, Gloria Holt.

Those left to celebrate and cherish her memories are her devoted daughter and caretaker, Darshell “Yoggie” Myers (Michael Moore), siblings, Sarah Brown, Burma (Clarence) Cobbins, Donald Harrison and William “Chester” Harrison, grandchildren, Mariesha Harrison (Deschawn Hones) and Maurice Harrison, Jr., great grandchildren, Mariyah Jones, Major Harrison and Lindon Harrison, devoted friends, Melissa Moore, Patricia Clark, Joyce Bratcher, Bobby Holt “Tic Toc” and a host of devoted nieces and nephews.
