Ms. Veronica D. Leonard was born December 24, 1972, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Vernon Henry Leonard and Mary Elizabeth Haley. She departed this sweet life too soon on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
Veronica accepted Christ at an early age. She joined 14th Ave. Baptist Church in the late 1990s. Veronica was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools where she was a 1990 graduate of Pearl Cohn High School. She was Captain of the Cheerleading Squad and a majorette with the band. She continued her education by attending Tennessee State University.
Veronica was employed in the Insurance business. She enjoyed her job and was a dedicated worker.
She was preceded in death by her beloved twins, her parents, Vernon Henry Leonard and Mary Elizabeth Haley, grandparents, Della E. Bryson and Joe Haley Sr., Cresa Dixon Leonard and Moses Leonard Sr., uncles, and aunts, Gloria (Verdell), Moses Jr., Jean, Joe Jr., Oscar, Arlene and Geraldine.
Those left to cherish her memories are her loving son, Dominique Leonard, god-daughters, Thomeka Whitelow and Lakeisha Johnson, siblings, Derrick Leonard, Marsha Sherrell, Anthony Leonard (Pam), David Haley, Karen Shannon (Thomas), Sonia Hambrick (Greg), Sandra Gilliam, bonus sisters, Tracy Haley and Latanga Haley, aunts and uncles, Alfred, Ellen, Fannie, Cresa and Prentice, loving nieces, Ebony “Red”, Christy, Faith and Markita, nephews, Alexander, Deandre, Derrius and Darrin, Kobe and Craig, 1 great niece and 4 great nephews, many other relatives and friends.
