Tandria Batey was born on May 21, 1978 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Evelyn B. Easley and Ishaaq. She entered into rest on Saturday, August 28, 2021 in Madison, Tennessee.
Tandria professed a hope in Christ at an early age and later united with St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. She was educated in the Metro Nashville Davidson County Public Schools, graduating from McGavock High School class of 1996. Tandria worked for Metro Parks, YMCA, Walden and Imperial Securities, and Slim and Husky.
Tandria was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend Tandria enjoyed basketball and dancing. She started a nonprofit organization called Madea Foundation in memory of her grandmother Addie B. Reed. Tandria also loved giving back to her community at the Pruitt Library (JC/UC Community). She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her!
Tandria was preceded in death by her grandmother Addie B. Reed.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories daughters Cori Higgins, Earldenee Harris, Earldria Batey, grandson Braelen Brittin, parents Evelyn B. Easley and Ishaaq, sisters Kia Batey, Stephanie Patton, brothers Tandrick “BaBro” Batey, Alonzo Smith Sr., close cousins LaTonya “Tonya” Shelton, Patria “Choodie” Waggoner, nephews James, Khalil, niece Angel Rose, a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
