Stevie Ames Sr. was born May 5, 1954 to the late Charles Ames and Eunice (Satchell) Ames in Boston, Virginia. He was the sixth of eleven children, 5 boys and 6 girls. Stevie was educated in the Accomac a county, Virginia. Stevie was called home on Thursday May 4, 2023.

Stevie served in the United States Marine Corp. After being honorably discharged Stevie returned home. He attended Eastern Shore Community College receiving an Associate’s degree as a machinist. Afterwords he relocated to Oak Ridge, Tn. later to Nashville, Tn. As a machinist. Stevie had a very pleasant personality and could always make you laugh. He was very attentive to his family especially to his little sisters.

Stevie was United in marriage ti his high school sweetheart Susie Marie Jones, July 3, 1979. He accepted Christ later in life.

Stevie leaves to cherish his memory 5 sons Stevie Ames Jr. (Latoshia), Odianosae Ames (Stephanie), Terrell Ames, Julian and Stephen Rivers. Cassandra Rivers 22 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. 2 sisters of Philadelphia, Pa. Centoria Smith-Washington, Valery Davis (Eric) sister Gail Clay (Joseph) of San Diego, Ca. 2 sisters and 2 brothers of Accomac, Va. Teresa Sample, Charlene Ames, Calvin Ames (Brenda) and Morris Ames, sister Sarah Reed (Craig) of Carrollton, Va. 5 special brothers Tony Collins, Lewis Jones, Big Mike, Little Mike and Bert Johnson. A host of other family members and special friends.

Stevie was proceeded in death by his wife Susie Ames, his parents Charles and Eunice Ames, his 2 brothers Charles Allen Satchell, and Harold Ames, his 3 grand daughters Stefiana Walker, T’Shira Ames, and Yariah Ames, and nephew Dale Jones.
