Simone Patrice Teasley Tibbs (PUNKIN) born on August 20, 1959, and on November 25, 2024 she left her earthly house for God’s house after a long battle with cancer. Simone was very humble and loved her family, church family school and neighborhood friends. She loved singing and cooking for her friends that were sick or had lost loved ones in their family. She kept everyone’s kids and took some to church with her during Vacation Bible School. Simone never complained about her illness. She lived her life and as fully as she could until she could do no more and to complete her book of life on this side of Glory.
She was preceded in death by father Eugene Teasley, Grandfather Simon P. Teasley, Brothers James Johnson and James (J-J) Jones, Jr., Uncles, Simon Teasley and Anxious Bryant, Jr.
Simone was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life Joseph A. Tibbs, Sr. on January 5, 1985.
She is survived by the love of her life husband, Joseph A. Tibbs, Sr. sons, Marquise, Joseph, Jr., Joe (Pokey) Lindsley and Dontae Tibbs. her loving mother Oddie Bryant Jones, brother Kevin Bryant, sisters Minister Monica T. (Grady) Thompson and Minister Valorie Johnson. Grandsons Darius and Samaj. God daughters Jerniqua and Justice Moore, Angie Hambrick, Sydney Bell and Voloria Hooker. Sister-in-law, Angela P. Jones, Nieces, Whitney Thompson, Armesha Johnson, and Ke’Oshia Jones. Nephews Kevin Sherrod and Chris Bryant, Kendall Johnson and Gabriel Thompson. A host of great nieces and nephews, devoted niece and nephew Myla and Sonny Thompson. Devoted and dedicated cousin and caregiver Donna Edwards Quarles.
