Shirley Ann Higgins-Huey

Shirley Ann Higgins Huey was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 2, 1956 to Doris Marie Buford and Donald Wilson Higgins Sr. She transitioned to her eternal home on March 22, 2023

Shirley accepted Christ at an early age, and united with Community Baptist Church in her later years. She was educated in Davidson County Schools.

Shirley was employed at Eddie’s Cee Bee Food Store in the Meat Department, Kusan Plastics, Nickelstone Book Bindery, and Black & Decker. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, listening to music, and being around family.

Shirley Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Doris Buford and Donald Higgins Sr., sister, Regina Wilkerson, brothers, Ivan Buford Sr., Charles Buford, Donald Higgins Jr., grandson, Cortez Ezell, and nephew, Angelo Higgins.

She leaves to cherish her memories children, Lucuba (April) Higgins, Corey (Quinette) Higgins, Ayanna Huey, Lakeisha Huey, siblings, Lawrence Buford, Donna Higgins, Karen Higgins, and Daunta Simmons, grandchildren, Cori Higgins, Correka Holcomb, Scoria Ezell, Coreyanna Holcomb, Cortayja Ezell, Corey Holcomb, Coryel Ezell, Corey Monte Holcomb, Cortez Ezell, Emma Jean, Keiara Webb, Lucuba Higgins, Jr., Kenneth Huey, Kristopher Webster, Corey Huey, Karvarious Chandler, Areyanna Huey, devoted friend, Maurice Ross, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
