Sheila Snorten

Shelia Marie Leatherwood Snorten was born June 11, 1951 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of George and Josephine Leatherwood. She was their 7th bundled joy. Shelia departed this sweet life on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, Tennessee.

 Shelia attended Nashville Davidson Schools and graduated from East High 1969. She also attended Nashville State Tech. Shelia believed in God her Faith was her strength. She was Baptized at Cleveland Street Baptist Church.

 She was intelligent, caring, loving, supportive of her family and friends, she a great sense of humor she loved to laugh however when you needed to be corrected needed to be corrected, she had her say. She enjoyed her conversations with her sisters and Friends.  shopping with her daughters and granddaughters was always a great time . She loved to shop a true Fashionista she knew when you look good you feel good! Books where her favorite reading was relaxation. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Josephine Leatherwood, brothers, Robert A and Glenn Leatherwood and sister, Rhonda Williams.

 She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted children, Lamonacus Jackson, Shondrea Hill and Angela Mc Mahon, her heartbeats which are her grandchildren, Jasmine Frierson, Larry Turnley, III, Amarea Gibson, Rodreke Carr, Jr. and Sihe Walker-Jackson, her great grandchildren Larry (Peanut) Turnley IV, and Jamel Turnley. she was also a caring step-mom to, LaToys Snorten and her Foster adult LaShonda 

 Her siblings were her peace and comfort they will cherish her memories, brothers, George Travis, Donald, Kenneth (Winifred) Leatherwood, sisters, Patricia Jenkins, Jennifer (Gerald) Johnson, and Stephanie Nance, devoted friends, Mary Patton, Loretta Goodloe, Juanette Williams, Joann Bunch, Shanda Byles these are the friends.
