Samuel Lewis Woodard

Mr. Samuel Lewis Woodard was born November 30, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee to Andrew and Alberta Woodard. He passed away peacefully Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Vanco Manor Rehabilitation Nursing Facility.

Mr. Woodard had resided at Metro Center Teachers Apartments for 17 years and it was there that he confessed his hope and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in their Chapel.  Mr. Woodard went to their services faithfully until his health began to fail. He worked many years in the building supply business until his retirement.

Mr. Woodard was preceded in death by his mother Alberta Woodard and father Andrew Woodard, sister, Roberta Gordon, brothers, Thomas, Herbert and William Woodard.

He is survived by his devoted sister, Willie Mae Bryant, devoted niece, Barbara Gordon, devoted nephew, Raymond Gordon, many nieces and nephews and cousins and the many friends and staff at Metro Center Teachers Apartment.
