Samuel Brice Martin, Sr.

Samuel Brice Martin was born on December 27, 1948 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Louis A. McFall Martin and Samuel Oscar Martin. He departed this life on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Samuel accepted Christ at an early age and united with Salem Baptist Church. He was educated in the Davidson County Nashville Public School Systems, graduating form North High School in the 1960’s.

Samuel was united in Holy Matrimony to Rita Sloan in 2013, they have enjoyed ten years of marriage.

Samuel was employed with Nashville Recycling for 14 years and he worked in the Construction Field, until his retirement. He was ordained as a Pastor in 2012, working in the ministry serving the Lord, until his passing.

Samuel enjoyed fishing, bible study, telling people about Jesus, watching movies, and scrapping. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him!!!

Pastor Samuel was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Martin, mother, Louis Martin, father, Samuel Martin, daughter, Kimberly, 7 siblings, and his mentor/ uncle, Raymond Martin.

He leaves to cherish his memories children, Renee Martin (Edanielwell Miller), Samuel (Shannon) Martin, Angela Martin, Scotty Treenary, and Jonathan Johnson; grandchildren, Aaron (Laderia) Martin, Devin Martin, Jamarious Martin, Jasmine Martin, Destiny Treenary, Jason Stewart, and more; 11 siblings; great grandchildren, Kennsley Johnson, Levon Mancind, Aaron Martin, and more; a host of cousins, other family, and friends in Jesus.
