Sadie Mai Thompson

Sadie Mai Rhodes Thompson was born June 27, 1934 in Chapel Hill, Tennessee to the union of Luther Rhodes and Anna Nelson. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Creekside Rehabilitation in Madison, Tennessee.

Sadie received her formal education in Tennessee public Schools. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Howard Bruce Thompson; they enjoyed a number of years of marriage until his passing.

 Sadie was employed as a shoe repairer with Genesco, until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, reading, home improvement, cooking, working with her hands, and spending time with family and friends.

 Sadie was preceded in death by her husband Howard Thompson, and her parents, Luther Rhodes and Anna Nelson.

 She leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Cynthia Thomas, son, Alfred J. Thomas, Sr., grandchildren, Alfred Thomas Jr., Shafreida Thomas, JaJuan E. Thomas, Anthony (Fawn) Thomas, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sister, Martha Carter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
