Roosevelt "Shot" Pirtle

Mr. Roosevelt Frank Pirtle, Jr. was born August 20, 1941, in Sommerville, Tennessee to Roosevelt Frank Pirtle, Sr. and Nattie B. Harris. He departed this peaceful life on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Tristar Centennial Medial Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

 Roosevelt or “Shot” as he was fondly known by his friends and family was educated at Obion Rosewell and Myers High School in Obion, Tennessee. He accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was a Christian by faith.

Roosevelt was married to Shirley Depriest and later to Mary Frierson. He was employed as a truck driver for Rober Orr Trucking, Nashville Eggs and Emma Flowers. 

In his spare time, he enjoyed cars, playing guitar, singing and was an avid motorcyclist. He will be missed immensely by all who knew and loved him. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt Pirtle, Sr. and Nattie Harris, sons, Kennie Pirtle, Terry Harrel.

 He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Dorothy Beasley, Trina Kennedy and Angela (Calvin) Merridith, son, Derric Pirtle a host of other grandchildren, relatives and friends
