Romona Elouise Overton

Romona Elouise Overton was born on November 6, 1961 in South Bend, Indiana to the union of Betty and Warner Breveard. She departed this life on Monday, July 24, 2023 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Romona was educated in Metro Nashville Davidson County Public Schools, graduating from Stratford High School. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Edward Eugene Overton, January 1980, they have enjoyed 43 years of marriage.

Romona was employed with Greencare Homes as an Assistant Director/ Caregiver. She also worked at Save-a-lot, Alpine, Vanderbilt University, Family Dollar, and Metro Public Schools. She enjoyed going  shopping, bowling, bingo and  to the casino. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and helping others.

Romona was preceded in death by her daughter, Shetika L. Overton, father, Warner Breveard Sr., sister, Denoris Hamer

She leaves to cherish her loving memories daughters, Tequilla Monick Overton,  sons, DeShawn Latwain Overton, Christopher Lamont Overton, ; grandchildren, Kendall Tatum; Isaiah Malone, Tamara French, LaJarius French, KaLeah Monae Overton,  Christiana , Amaya; mother, Betty Breveard; sisters, Darlene Hopkins, Yvette Breveard; brother, Warner Brevard, Jr., Maurice Breveard; best friends, Barbara Byrd and Phyllis; play daughter, Latrice Smith, Kris Roberts, Chandra Howse, Latonya Beechum; Godsons, Wayne Fletcher, Shene Conaway, Kevin Harris; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
