Robert Wayne Turner was born to the late Fannie Louise Gardner and late James Robert Turner on October 25, 1967. He was a lifelong resident of Springfield in Robertson County, TN. He was educated in the Robertson County School System. As a young preteen, Robert was Springfield’s Paperboy, running routes by foot and bicycle throughout all neighborhoods within the city limits. There are priceless memories of him riding bikes all over Robertson County. He loved to work, and didn’t mind laboring in any type of hands on activities. He labored in the tobacco fields and barns, cutting, and hanging tobacco. He loved music, and worked as a DJ traveling abroad many years ago. He worked in manufacturing, production, steel fabrication, and commercial painting with the companies , Johnson Electric, Electrolux Home Products, Nashville Wire Inc, Unarco Material Handling, Inc, IAC Inc, and Shrader Electronics. In most recent years, Robert worked at C&D Safety LLC as a Highway Re-Spripe Tech for five years. He then moved on to Walker Electric, and Volt Electric Companies, as a Journeyman Electrician Helper for the last 6years. He was currently employed with the United Parcel Service in Distribution and Shipping. Robert was a member of the Temple of Love Church, and baptized under the leadership of the Late Pastor Carrie L. Darden in Springfield, TN for over 15years. He dedicated service to the janitorial duties of the church during his membership, and was ready and available whenever needed. In 2018 Robert and his family moved their fellowship to the Abundant Life Living Word Church under the leadership of Bishop A.E. Harris and Evang. Elect Lady Pamela Harris.
Robert Loved his family, he had such a joyful & comedic spirit with his peers. His presence will be greatly missed by so many lives that he’s touched! He’s proceeded in death by his Parents Fannie L. Gardner, Father James Robert Turner, Grand Mother Annie Mai Gardner and James Junior Gardner, Five Aunts, and one Uncle Joe Hardy Ross and nephew Christopher Brooks.
He Leaves to Cherish his devoted wife Cretia Turner, one son Jonaswayne Turner, and four Step daughters, La’Carriesse Darden, Carrington Brown, Ja’Cailla Black, and Jauria Black. He has one surviving twin Sister, Ramona Patterson, two twin Brothers William and Willie Jones, nieces Larhonda Patterson, Donesha Jones, and Bri Jones, one nephew Marekus Brooks, and a host of many cousins and friends.
