Robert Carlton Drummond was born on October 22, 1945, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Robert Lee Drummond and Valdred Carlton Drummond. He departed this earthly life on Monday, March 6th, 2023 at his residence in Nashville, Tennessee.
Robert affectionately called “Bobby” received his formal education in Nashville, Tennessee, attending Ford Greene Elementary School, Washington Jr. High School, and Pearl High School. He continued his education by attending Arizona State University in 1992 receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Oklahoma State University in 1994 receiving a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, and George Mason University in 2000 receiving a Doctorate in Business Finance.
Bobby played a number of instruments, his favorite being the Trumpet. He also spoke six different languages. Robert served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy in 1966, receiving a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and an honorable discharge.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Valdred Drummond, and sister-in-law Carolyn Gordon-Young.
He leaves to cherish his memories wife Tammy Gordon Drummond, son, Robert (Lashawn) Drummond Jr., Daughter, Violet (Jeff) McKenzie, stepchildren, CheVaya Gordon, Eugene Gordon, Rockitta Gordon, Denise Gordon, Teri Woodside, and Bryant Anderson. Grandchildren, Dean Gordon, Tashaun Gordon, CheVaya’ Gordon Jr., Bryant Anderson Jr., Eugene Gordon Jr., Nashalae Gordon, Phebie Anderson, Aniyah Gordon, Raegan Gordon, Royalty Gordon, Diaz Gordon.
