Richard Ernelle Crutcher was born June 19, 1967, in Marshall County to Alice Faye Crutcher and Ernest Braden. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Braden and brother, Robert J. Daniels, IV.
Ernelle professed a hope in Christ at an early age at Hydes Ferry Church of Christ. After moving from that neighborhood. He attended Greater Grace, under the leadership of Pastor Breonus Mitchell.
He was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Schools attending Cumberland Elementary, Highland Heights and graduated from Whites Creek High School.
Ernelle was always the life of the party he loved the Dallas Cowboys. You always knew when they lost a game because he would throw his blanket off the bed and when you brought up their name, he would close his eyes and pretend he didn’t want to be in the conversation.
In his younger days he enjoyed meeting up with friends at Highland Heights on Sundays or anytime when school was not in session. They would play football and enjoy each other’s company. He also enjoyed traveling; especially to be with his devoted friend Kendall. He loved spending time with his sister and brother along with his niece and great niece. Each time he fell ill, he looked forward to returning to work. He was employed by Magnetic Ticket Label Corp. When his health failed, he was forced to retire.
Ernelle will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was always the party guest at all our family reunions and for the Christmas Holidays.
