Paxton Sales

July 1, 1971 — November 9, 2023

Paxton (Muzak Man) Sales was a “larger than life” personality. Paxton arrived on the Earth scene, July 1, 1971 to Paulette Delsenia Sales and Albert Sales. Paxton was born a whole month later than expected making it clear life was going to be his way.

Paxton was a vibrant and lively child who introduced a lot of excitement into his family’s lives. He marched to the beat of his own drum and had fun with it, even creating his own beat. Paxton enjoyed being the “Baby Brother” of the family and enjoyed his childhood filling it with adventures his parents have yet to discover!

Paxton was educated in the Metro Nashville school system and desired to have a career in music or entertainment. With his witty and unique sense of humor, Paxton was well suited for either. Paxton was known as the “Muzak Man” because he loved music and had an extensive collection that may be difficult to find today. When you visited, he would take you down memory lane and play all the old school music and movies you loved. He also had a memory as large as his music collection: he could tell you who, what, when, and where about any song, movie or celebrity. He also had an opinion about everything and everyone that would leave you laughing on the floor.

Paxton went wherever his mind took him regardless of his physical disabilities. Paxton was currently writing his life story as he lived it out.

As he has written his closing chapter and closed the book, we know it is not the end but a new beginning. We thank God for the life of Paxton and the time we shared with him.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Jenni Hurt
