Patricia Louise Phelps was born on February 13, 1951 in Joplin, Missouri to the union of Reverend Preston, Sr. and Corine Evelyn (Wilson) Phelps. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, March, 5, 2024 at Nashville General Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Patricia was a born-again Christian, having accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age. She was a member of Phillips Chapel C.M.E. where she loved to fellowship, attend church while lending a helping hand when needed. She maintained her membership until her health began to fail.
Patricia was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public School System. She was a Head Start Teacher where she adored the children.
In her spare time, she enjoyed drawing and painting. Patricia’s talent was so noticed that she was often referred to by friends and family as an “Artist.” She also enjoyed singing in the church choir, having fun while cooking for family and friends. She will be missed.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Preston and Corine Phelps, sister, Prestine (Van) Phelps, brothers, Phillip and Preston, Jr., nephew William Carter.
Those left to cherish beautiful memories are her son, Tony Bradley, nieces, LaTonya (Clifford) Lee and LaToya Payton. Nephews, Shawn (Robin) Thomas and Frederick McKissack, devoted friends, Deborah Dowdell and Nora Jackson.
