October 8, 1956 — February 14, 2023

Pamela Yvette Kennedy was born on October 8, 1956 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Mr. Fred Southall and Melissa Kennedy.

Pamela affectionately called “Pam” for short, attended Napier Elementary and graduated from McGavock High School, Class of 1975. At an early age in life, she found Jesus and was baptized by Inner City Church of Christ.

Pam loved to talk and socialize; she also knew everyone in South Nashville. She could always shoot Basketball, as well as the breeze, with people she encountered. Her love for Michael Jackson’s music, sports, basketball, and her laughter will truly be missed. She always interacted with all her members of her family to let them know she recognized them as her kin with a smirk smile.

Pam always gave respect to the elderly that she grew up knowing throughout her life, they always encouraged her to better herself. She loved her jobs with Sunbeam Bread, Central State, Vanderbilt, and especially Northern Telecom.

Later, Pam developed cancer and quickly became weaker with her battle. Her loving Father, called her home on her baby sister’s birthday, Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14th, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Fred Southall and Melissa Kennedy.

Pam loved her one and only son Michael Marell Kennedy with great pride and joy. Like all loving thoughts Michael "Mike Mike" was loving, protective, and close to her near her last days. Thank you loving son and nephew. Keep your heart close to your loving mother’s memory.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories son, Michael Kennedy, brothers, Samuel Kennedy II, Anthony (Sharon) Kennedy, sisters, Chephonda Lennox, Sherricka Kennedy, devoted aunts, Addie Sue Talley, Charlene Anderson, Dorothy Holloway, uncles, Michael Anderson, James Charles Anderson, nieces, Leana Howard, Tiffany Jordan, Jayvonda Lennox, Tonicka Kennedy, nephew, Anthony Kennedy Jr., Lamarius Kennedy, Shae Kennedy, 4 grandchildren, and a host of devoted cousins, relatives, and friends.
