Mr. William Oliver was born December 2, 1941, in Pulaski, Tennessee to Christina Ballentine (George) Oliver and Bruce Howard, Sr. He departed this peaceful life on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee.
William known by his friends and family as “Red Hoss”. Was educated in the Giles County Schools and was a graduate a of Bridge Forth High School.
He accepted Christ in his life and was a born-again Christian. William was a member of Grace Apostolic Church now named Rebuilding Lives Church.
William was employed as a Nurse at Vanderbilt from 1960’s till the 1970’s. He later opened a cleaning company in the 1980’s. William was a smart hard-working person. He was blessed to retire in 2014.
In his spare time, he enjoyed singing in the church choir, serving as an usher at his church, dancing, videography, fishing, playing sports, spending time with girls but mostly praising God. He will be missed greatly.
He was preceded in death his parents, Christina Ballentine (George Oliver) and Bruce Howard, Sr., Brothers, Bruce Howard, Jr., Tommy Howard and Jerrie Howard, sister, Bobbie Jean Howard Cross.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted daughters, Christina (Jacob) Mendez, Willisha Oliver, Shannon Floyd) Minton, Vernica Ward, Monica Ward, brothers, Frank Howard, Dennis (Yolanda) Howard, sister, Veronica (Clifford) Terrell and Paulette Daily, a host of grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews, devoted friends, Janice and James Lynn Parks other relatives and friends.
