Mother Rosetta Scruggs

affectionately known as Little Mama, was born April 24, 1931, to the late Aaron and Sarah Foster in Mt. Pleasant, TN, Maury County.  She attended Clark Training School. Then moved to Nashville, met and joined in matrimony to Howard Scruggs March 15, 1947.  To this union were seven children.  She did industrial housekeeping for a number of years.  Rosetta united with Noah’s Ark Primitive Baptist Church in approximately 1955 under the leadership of Elder Henderson.  She remained faithful to God and to Noah’s Ark until her death.  She was outgoing, loved to travel especially with her Eastern Star Sisters and with the National Primitive Baptist Convention.

Preceeded in death by her husband, Howard Scruggs, Mother, Father, Sister and Brothers.  On Monday, May 9, 2022, she made her transition to Eternal Rest.  She leaves to cherish her memories Brother: Willie (Ruth) Foster; Children: Sarah (Reverend Fred) Beasley, Ray Scruggs, Gwendolyn Hill, Roger (Carolyn) Scruggs,  Dorene (Oscar) Porter, Ronald Scruggs, Michelle (Sidney) Walker; 19 grandchildren, host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends: Christine Mitchell, Mother Cora Geter and Albenda Donelson and all who loved her dearly. Viewing Saturday, May 14, 2022, 2-4:00pm at funeral home. Visitation Sunday, May 15, 2022, 3-4:00 with funeral to follow at Cumberland Tabernacle 232 Whitsett Burial Monday May 16, 2022, 11:00am at Nashville National Cemetery.
