Mitchell Vernon Green

Mitchell V. Green Sr. was born February 2, 1957 and God called him home May 8, 2023. He was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His hobbies were fishing, golfing, playing spades, hunting, and watching sports and westerns. He received his education in Metro Davidson County Public Schools. Mitchell enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served his country for 4 years as a Pistol and Rifle Range Coach. Mitchell retired from U.S Smokeless Tobacco. He professed his love for Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Foster Avenue Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by parents William (Mamie) Green. Brother Michael Green Sr Son Mitchell Green Jr. Brother-in-law Michael Pride. He leaves to cherish his memory, loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Shelia Green. Son, Marcus Green Sr. Grandkids, Dominique, Mitchell III, Marcus Jr, Nazir, Makenzie, Major, And Montez. Step granddaughter,Chanelle. Great grandsons, Kyrie and Marcus III. Sisters Melisa(Donnie) Greene and Marcella(Michael) Dowell. Sister-in-laws Linda Crawford, Brend Pride, Patricia(David) Bennett, Pamela Dunlap. Brother-in-law William Pride Sr. One uncle, John Travis, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted nephew Malcolm Crawford Jr, and numerous friends of the Woodbine Community and U.S Smokeless Tobacco.
