Mildred L. Brown

BROWN, Mildred L. Age 77 of Nashville. January 28, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Frank & Mary Harrison, Sr.; sisters, Cynthia R. Dunlap & Helen C. Hambrick. She was born in Nashville, TN and was a graduate of Haynes High School. She attended T.S.U. and was a supervisor for the Dept. of Human Services for 30 years until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Roger Heights Baptist Church where she served on the Trustee Board until her health failed. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 55 years, Sterling Brown, Sr.; to this union they were blessed with two daughters, Marva (Michael) Lyle, Mt. Juliet, TN, Melanie Lynn (James) Crowder, Old Hickory, TN & son, Sterling (Tammi) Brown, Jr., Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Melanie Jones, Brandon Crowder, Justin Crowder & Boyd Brown; sisters, Evelyn Scott, Juanetta Sanford; brothers, Councilman Frank Harrison, Jr., Gilbert (Ernestine) Harrison, Dervis Harrison, all of Nashville, TN; aunt, Mary Bateman, Nashville, TN; a host of relatives and devoted friends. Viewing will be Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 12-7 p.m., with family present 5-7 p.m., at Terrell Broady Funeral Home, 3855 Clarksville Pike.
