Michael "Mike" Lee Newsom

Age 67, passed away June 9, 2022.

Michael Lee Newsom was born September 30, 1954 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Joe Terrell  and Mary Chatman. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Michael was educated in the Nashville Davidson County School System. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized.

Michael was employed for over 30 years as a professional mover. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, traveling, fishing and mostly spending time with his family.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Chatman and Joseph Terrell.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted daughters, Angelica (Eric) Holden, Mechelle Woods, NaTasha Woods, son, Michael Newsom, Jr., sisters, Patricia (Jeff) Ewing, Helen Harlan, Shirley Ann Baugh, Darlene Baker, Helen Terrell, brothers, Robert (LaQondia) Newsom, Gene Newsom, Joe (Veronica) Newsom, Sylvester Harlan, Tommy Terrell, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren a host of nieces and nephews, devoted stepfather,  Walter Chatman, devoted friends, Janice Long, Jeff Blair and Faye Hambrick.

Visitation Saturday, June 18, 2022, 11:30-12 with funeral to follow at funeral home. Burial in Greenwood North.
