Given to his parents as a perfect gift from God, Michael Marcelle Wilson, affectionately known as “Celle Block”, was born to the late Theressa Ann Thompson-Wilson and Michael Wilson on Sunday, May 22, 1983 in Nashville, Tennessee. On Sunday, April 14, 2024 he transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home. Family and friends are being comforted in knowing assuredly that there is no place of
greater joy, wholeness, and peace than at home with God. Marcelle accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age, and was baptized by Elder Raymond Caruthers at New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church. On Sunday, April 14, 2024 Michael Marcelle Wilson transitioned for this earthly life to his heavenly home.
Marcelle attended Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. He took great pride in his work and most recently under the mentorship and spiritual influence of Pastor Rickie Bowser, Marcelle was working towards HVAC certification.
Marcelle loved sports! In his mind, aside from Michael Jordan, Michael Marcelle Wilson was the greatest basketball player in the world! Marcelle loved working with his hands building beautifully crafted items. Marcelle mastered recipes from his belated mother, and declared himself to be a
“Master Chef”. He absolutely loved cooking, sports, music, basketball and above all he loved his family. Though physically and emotionally strong Marcelle’s body housed the gentlest, loving sincere heart. The goodness of his heart shined as a father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, cousin and friend.
Marcelle is deeply loved by his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Marcelle was preceded in death and greeted in heaven by his mother Theressa Ann Thompson-Wilson, grandparents Ralph Wilson, Sr and Paulette Virginia Wilson, aunt Thea Thompson and cousin Richard Michael Wilson.
Marcelle leaves to forever cherish his life, father Michael (Katrina) Wilson, sons; Marterio, Xavier, and Demontae daughters; Niya, Mekhia, Keymariya, Karmi and Mi’Kari, , grandmother Juanita Thompson, sisters; Monica Wilson, Markeesha (Antorio) Crawford, and Delea Garrison, brother, Marcus Wilson, uncles; Steve, Ralph, Virgil (Alesia), Rozelle, Sr., and James Wilson, Lamont Thompson and Daryl (Nakesha) Rolle, Augusta, Ga. aunts; Theronda and Therberina Thompson, Paula Wilson, Marquinta (Bryan) Johnson and Theresa Wilson-Martin a host of great uncles, great aunts, beloved cousins and friends.
