Mary Johnson

 Mary D. Johnson was born November 29, 1956, in Nashville, Tennessee; she departed her life on January 29, 2025. She was the daughter of the late William Gabriel and Willie Mae Gabriel. She attended school in the Davidson County school system graduate of Cohn High School in 1974. 

She was Baptized April 1976 in Richmond, VA. in February 2020 she joined Mount Paran Baptist Church. Dee returned to Nashville and worked countless hours for NPC/ The Tennessean before retiring from the State of Tennessee and Goodwill Industries. 

Dee was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Johnson, mother, Wille Mae Gabriel, father, William Gabriel, sisters Joann Jordan, Martha Crutcher, Bettie Jefferson, brother Larry Owens Sr, nephew Leon Baxter.

Dee leaves to cherish her memories two devoted sons; Robert (Terika) Left Jr., Marcus (Shameka) Left Sr., stepsons; James (Gerri) Johnson, Corry (Tessie Torrez) Harris, devoted sister Regina (Marvin Nevels) Samuels, grandchildren Marcus Left Jr., Jaylyn Left, Robert Left III, Landan Left, Brian Hilton, Cherry, Jasmine, Secret, Jay, Carl, great-grandchild Paisley Jane Pinkerton, devoted nephew Errick Baxter; a host of devoted family and friends.
