Magarita Patricia McDaniel

Magarita Patricia McDaniel, affectionately known as “Tricia,” transitioned from labor to rest on February 16, 2025, at Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 50 years old.

Tricia was born on February 25, 1974, to Mary Martindale and Lee Williams, in Nashville. She was educated in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School system and graduated from Pearl-Cohn Comprehensive High School in 1994. She also took some classes at Draughons Junior College and Emmanuel Bible College, both in Nashville.

Tricia accepted Jesus as her Savior at a young age and attended several churches throughout her life, including Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church on Herman Street in Nashville. She united with the Watson Grove Missionary Baptist Church, under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. Curtis Walter Goodwin, Sr., in the late 1990s, and attended regularly until her health began to decline. Ministries that Tricia served faithfully in include the Young Adult Ushers and the Willing Workers. 

Tricia had a huge heart that was filled with compassion. She was caring and kind, often putting the needs and desires of others above her own. Tricia was loyal to a fault. She enjoyed eating out and spending time with friends and family. She loved listening to Gospel music, watching television, and playing games on her cellphone. Hers was a simple life. She was resourceful, yet not afraid to ask for help when she needed it.

Tricia held several jobs throughout her life, including at MNPS, Kroger, and Allied Universal, where she worked as a security guard in state office buildings.

Tricia is survived by her sisters: Dorothy Martin, Martha Williams, Harriet Williams, Cinthia Williams, Gloria Williams-Turner, and Adrian Williams; brothers: Ronnie Williams, and Reginald Williams; devoted nephew: Vincent “Todd” Richardson; and devoted friend: Linda Copeland.
