Lisa Gaye Brown

Our Heavenly Father quietly released Lisa Gaye Brown from her weakened body and lifted her soul on Sunday, August 27^th, 2023. Lisa was born in Davidson County on January 29^th, 1959 to Annie L. Brown and the late Robert E. Brown Sr.

Lisa received her formal education in Nashville, Tennessee, graduating from Pearl High School, Class of 1977. At an early age she was baptized at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and later joined St. Ann Catholic Church.

Her sunny smile warmed the hearts of her family, her friends, and others she came across in life.

Her passing, as painful as it may be, is nothing compared to the joy that she has brought all of us. Her love and dedication to her faith and family in no small part of the reason we are all joined here today. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten, as she lives inside all our hearts.

Lisa may have completed her race before us, but let us all remember how she has cheered us on in our lives at one point or another. This isn’t a goodbye, this is a “Until we meet again”.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Brown Sr., and brother, Robert E. Brown Jr.

She is survived by her loving and devoted son, Joshua (Xochilt) Brown, Colorado Springs, Co., loving and devoted mother, Annie L. Brown, twin sister, Letra Brown, sisters, Cheryl Wilson- Stewart, Tara (Gary Sr.) Sweatt, brother, Suleiman (Princess) Aziz, grandchildren, Leonardo and Xecilia Brown, uncle, John Carter, nephews, Pierre Gordon, Juerno Brown, Quincy Johnson, Gary Sweatt Jr., nieces, De’Onne Stewart, Cortney Sweatt, devoted cousin, Mark Carter, best friends Larry and Brenda Cross, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
