Linda Renee Moore Puckett Nashville, TN Linda began her life on November 12, 1950 in Nashville, Tennessee. She departed this life peacefully on July 10, 2015. She was the second daughter born to Arthur Lee 'Lean' Moore and Pauline Isabelle Mayes Moore who preceded her on the journey to heaven. Linda attended the Nashville Public Schools of Murphy Elementary, Head Elementary, Washington Junior High and was a proud member of the 1968 graduating class of historic Pearl High School. Linda's life involved attending church, singing in the choir, sports and spending time with family and friends. Linda worked briefly at Baptist Hospital but her life-long passion was caring for the children in the Nashville Community which she did for over thirty years. Linda's house was always filled with laughing children and fun times. Her young life was spent on activities at the Big Field and in the John Henry Hale Housing Projects and participating in activities at the Bethlehem Center including skating at the center and at the Hippodrome Skating Rink. Linda's most precious possessions were the love of her husband and having two sons and grandchildren. She was dedicated to providing all she could for her children and grandchildren and was a dedicated wife, sister and friend to many. Linda's love and affection will remain in the hearts of her devoted husband of forty-four years, Clarence Frederick (Freddy) Puckett; sisters, Phyllis Jean Moore Murray and Dr. Constance Lee Moore Hayes; son, Frederick Shawnell (Shawn) Puckett and his children Frederick Shawnell (Shawn) Puckett Jr. and Chloee' Janet Puckett and their mother Stephanie Williams; Paul Puckett, Zion Puckett, Emmanuel (Manny), Noah Puckett and their mother Audrey Oden and Shawnte Puckett and son Quinton Jerod (Q. J.) Puckett and his children Gabrielle Puckett and Quinn Puckett. Linda is also survived by brother-in-laws Van 'Billy' Puckett and Rev. A. L. (Tony) Hayes; sister-in-law, Rosetta Puckett; uncle, Waymond L. Everett; and aunts, Mae Mayes and Hazel Mayes of Detroit, Michigan. Linda will be fondly missed by her nieces Morey Kennethia Murray Bridges and her husband Durant Bridges and her father Kenneth Murray, Vanessa Puckett Trotter and her husband Eric, Stacey Puckett Walker and her husband Darrell and nephews Rudine Lamont Puckett and his wife Dr. Allison and Melvin Puckett and his wife Melanie. Surviving great-nieces and nephews include Rudine Puckett, Alex Puckett, Justin Puckett, Erykah Trotter, Darryan Walker, Darrell Walker and Nina Puckett. Surviving cousins include Autumn Page Everett Prather, Waymond L. Everett Jr. Sydnei Page Everett, Braylon Prather, Shelley (Marcus) Currie and Michelle James of Grand Prairie, Texas, cousins from Detroit Michigan, Jan Wheeler and Family, John (Ruby) Moore and family, and the Holmes, Morrow and Yokely families. Others to cherish Linda's memories are the Pearl High School Class of 1968 Atrina Minis and family and other relatives and countless dear friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Nashville Community Care and Rehabilitation at Bordeaux and Alive Hospice for their dedicated services to Linda over the years. Linda will lie in state at Terrell Broady Funeral Home from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015 with the family present from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. A 'Taking Flight' Celebration of Life and Legacy will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 with visitation at 12 p.m. and Celebration of Life and Legacy at 1 p.m. at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church at 144 Ewing Drive in Nashville, Tennessee 37203 - Reverend Michael L.
