Ms. Linda Marie Claybrooks was born February 2, 1958, to the late Spencer Dobbins and Mattie Louise Dobbins in Nashville, Tennessee. She was married to Keith Claybrooks in December of 1981. After their separation, they remained loving friends for life. Linda was educated in the Nashville Metropolitan Public School System. She graduated from Hume-Fogg High School in 1976 and furthered her education at Nashville State Community College, previously known as Nashville Technical Institute. She was employed with the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for over 25 years until her retirement in 2006. Since her retirement she has devoted her time to various community organizations and church activities. Linda was a long-time member of the New Livingston Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee where she served on the usher board. She adored and loved her church family. She was a loyal sports fan; her team favorites included the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Cowboys. She was also a lover of the WNBA.
Linda, affectionately known to family members and friends as “Lynn” or “Cookie” entered into eternal rest on December 30, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents, Spencer and Lousie Dobbins and Brother Ricky Appleton.

Claybrooks, Brothers; Victor Appleton, Henry (Lucinda) Dobbins, Sisters, Trina Simmons, Marion (Ronnie) Reed, Tawanna Dobbins, Devoted Aunt; Mary Anna Wright and Aunt Veronica Appleton, Nephews; Kirk Appleton, Bryan Lawless, Henry Dobbins, Jr., Nieces; Sequoia Dobbins, Adrina Simmons, Marion (Chico) Blanco, Ronniesia Reed (Travis), LaBria Appleton, Sierra Dobbins; Great Nephews; Donavon, Bryan, Cameron, Amauri, Kelan, Great Nieces; Kenetrice, Keshell, Krista, Mariah, Jaya, R’Moni, Devoted Friends; Freda Harris, Deborah Moore, Regina Baugh, Beverly Mitchell and Cecila Mitchell and a host of cousins and friends.
