Letha Mayes Sanford, affectionately called “Ann” by her family, was born May 25, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Marvin T. Bingham and Jennie B. Groomster.
Letha was united in Christ at an early age. She graduated from Pearl High School, Class of 1968, and studied Accounting at Tennessee State University. Letha worked with the Federal Reserve Bank in Nashville, Tennessee for 15 years and retired from the Tennessee Department of Treasury. She was an active member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church serving with the Usher Board, Voices of New Hope, Mass Choir, Missionary Circle, Room at the Inn, and Finance Committee.
Letha was the central figure in the lives of her family. She had a passion for cooking and caring for others. Her home was one everyone came to for the best food, fellowship, and love. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and road trips with the dearest of friends.
