Kevin Eugene Owens

 Kevin Eugene Owens (affectionately known as “Waterbug”) was born on October 18, 1960 in Nashville, TN to Moses and Lillian Kathryn Owens. He departed this life on December 28, 2024 at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

 Kevin graduated in 1978 from McGavock High School in Nashville, TN. While in high school, Kevin worked for a time with his dad at Williams Surgical Supply. After graduation, he went to work with one of his classmates at Nashville Blueprint. 

 Kevin truly enjoyed life! He loved to spend time with family and friends, laughing and joking, especially if there was a cookout! He loved music and dancing and never missed a chance to entertain a crowd. He also loved the Tennessee Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs. He considered himself a handyman and was always ready to help with a project (whether you asked for his help or not)! Kevin made a lasting impression on everyone he met, and he never met a stranger. He will forever be known as a true Southside legend! Most of all, Kevin lived every moment to the fullest and never took one minute for granted.

 Kevin is survived by siblings Michael (Yvonne) Owens, Donna Owens and Sheryl Owens. He was also a devoted father to children Kevelon (Ashley) Davis, Shetia (Robert) Britton, Eric Davis, Michael Davis (deceased), Gabriel (Ashlene) Jordan, Shelentia (Brandon) Sweat and Cory Williams. Kevin also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and a nephew, and close friends Tracy and Tanya Lee and Crystal Davis.
