Karl Cedric Radley

October 11, 1963 — September 30, 2024

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die. Karl Cedric Radley was born in Nashville, TN October 11, 1963 to the late John Henry and Dorothy B. Radley. Karl was called home Monday, September 30, 2024 at the age of 60 (11 days before his 61st birthday). He was surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Karl received his academic diploma from Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools - Glencliff High School in 1981. He would eventually pursue multiple positions in the trucking industry. By studying to receive his Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Karl drove large trucks and operated heavy machinery. His position and years of service at Yellow Roadway Corporation (YRC) allowed him to do just that.

At an early age, Karl accepted Christ and could be found participating in worship services at his church, Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, where he met the love of his life, Tamara Martin. The two were joined in holy matrimony, March 3, 2003. It was Breaking the Walls Ministries where Karl later placed his membership in the body of Christ pastored by Deremus Jones, Sr. and supported by First Lady, Dewana Jones. It was early on when Karl realized that he is not insignificant in the body of Christ. It could be anyone he came in contact with that might prompt him to ask, "Do you know the Lord? or... Do you know the one true God? or... Do you know Jesus?" He never missed an opportunity to spread the good news of the gospel.

Karl Radley will always live in the hearts and memories of his devoted wife of 21 years, Tamara Radley; the wonderful Radley five, Vaden, Jacarrey, Malikai, Ariya, and Amilah entrusted to him and Tamara by their mother, his niece, Carmayne Radley; his beautiful stepchildren, Korya Martin, Courtney Martin, and Kellon (Brenda) Martin; his loving grandchildren, Jioni (Mariano) Gurule, Janiyah Martin, Courtney Martin, Jr., Asia Morrow, Nakiyaah Peterson, Terrance Martin, Cydni Martin, Adrionna Martin, Jade Jones, and Maia Martin; adorable great grandchildren, Noah and Christopher Gurule, Marqweze Jr. and My'Ari McDowell, and Se'Qure Roberson.

Karl was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Wayne Johnson, but he leaves to cherish his memory: sisters, Katrina Radley, Mary (James) Wilson, and Marlene Campbell; brothers, John (Vanessa) Radley, Jr., Danny Radley, Steve Scales, Reginald Scales and Terrell Scales; mothers-in-law, Martha Berrian and Helen Martin; sisters-in-law, Audrienne Hart, Donita Martin, and Kristi King; brother-in-law, William (Tamiko) Martin, Ill; devoted friends, John Hooten, Michael Lane, Tony Carter, Darryl Cunningham, Tony Jones, Darryl Howard and Tony T; and many, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
