Mr. Johnnie Payne was born July 7, 1954 in Flint, Michigan to the union of Felix and Dora Payne. He departed this peaceful life on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Saint Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Johnnie was educated in the Flint Schools. He was a graduate of Southwestern High School and Eastern Michigan University.
He served his country and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force. After his service he gained employment with General Motors V.8 Flint, MI. Saturn Plant in Spring Hill, Tn. where he was blessed to retire.
Johnnie married the love of his life Marion Jean Miller in 1993. He loved his family and enjoyed life with his family.
In his spare time he enjoyed Jazz and 70,s music, Old Cowboy Movies, painting, Chess pieces, yard work and sports but his favorite was spending time with his loved ones.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Dora Payne, sister, Ruthie Elois Payne, brother, Vernon Payne, Sharon Payne and his, brother, Granville.
Those left to mourn his passing and celebrate his memories are his loving and devoted wife, Marion Miller Payne, son, Exavier T. Payne, daughter, ShaTwila(Quincy) Thompson, grandchildren, Alisha, Tiffany and Jeremiah Thompson, all of Nashville, Tn., sisters, Gloria Brown, Flint, MI., brothers, Granville, Felix and Eloise of Columbia, Tn., Anthony Payne all of Flint, MI, sister-in-law, Sharon Payne, special nephew and friend, Joe Payne, special friends, Robert Twitty, Henry Younger & Keith Keraton.
Vernon and Sharon Payne are deceased brother and sister-in-law of Johnnie.
