Johnnie Mae Burford

Johnnie Mae Burford was born on July 27, 1943 to Houston Baker Sr. and Mary Leva Sanford. She entered into rest on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital, in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Johnnie received her formal education and graduated from Rutherford County public school systems. She was united in Holy Matrimony to James Burford Sr. in 1965, they have enjoyed 58 years of marriage.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her mother Mary Leva Sanford, stepfather, James Edward Sanford Sr., father, Houston Baker Sr., and brothers, Clifford Baker, Houston Baker II., Alonzo E.E. Baker Sr., and John Henry Sanford.

She leaves to cherish her memories husband, James T. Burford Sr., brother, James Edward Sanford Jr., children, Michschell (Carone) Reed, James T. Burford Jr., Dion Q. Burford, Eric L. Burford, Gary (La’Vashia) Burford, Kyra L. Burford, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
