JOHN EDWARD STEWART was born in Nashville, Tennessee on August 29, 1979, to Ernest Wells and Norma Jean Horton Stewart (deceased), and parted this natural life on January 30, 2023.
He accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Cathedral of Praise COGIC faithfully with his mother and aunt. John was a faithful, committed student to Church School. He attended and graduated from Stratford High School in 1999.
John worked for Saint Thomas West Hospital, as a cook during the years of 2013 – 2020. He loved to prepare and cook. He attended culinary school for a brief period. John worked along with his mother in the kitchen ministry a Cathedral of Praise, doing what he loved (serving others). He served faithfully. John loved to travel. John was the Youth Coordinator and CEO of the Nashville Brotherhood Hoopers (he kept everybody straight). He loved sports, listening to music and sending out songs to uplift others.
In 2020, when John received a diagnosis that he would be permanently blind, he decided to take classes given through the Tennessee Rehabilitation Center, Transitional Services for the Blind. He was learning brail as well as being self-sufficient. He always wanted to better himself.
He leaves to cherish his memory; father, Ernest Wells; one sister Brittany Michelle Stewart; Aunts; JoAnne (Raymond) Harris, Patricia L. Starnes, Janet L. Seay (James) Stanley, Angela M. (Charles) Webb, Terrie L. (Cecil) Nelson and one Uncle Vincent L. Horton; Cousins (Yolanda, Lovenia, Stephanie, Nathaniel, Latonya, Robert, Nolan, Charles, Sharicka, Keith, Cicily, Anntoinette, Marilyn, and Moriah. Great cousins, nephews, and other relatives and close friends (Kymberlee Kersh and Evelyn Ramsy)
