Joan Harden was born November 17, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee to the parents Joseph Sumlin and Mary Savannah Davis. She departed this peaceful life on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Bethany Health and Rehabilitation in Nashville, Tennessee.
Joan accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was united with First Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Schools.
Joan was employed by Ford Glass Plant and was blessed to retire on April 18, 1977.
In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, she will be deeply missed.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sumlin and Mary Savannah Davis and son, Charles Harden.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Cheryl (Anthony) Nolen, Cynthia Harden, Mary Johnson, Phaedra Harden and Philana (Terrence) Wilson, sons, Llewellyn (Sadie) Harden and Garland (Jackie) Kimbro, brother, John Michael (Thornia) Gresham, special nephew, Carl Dale “Tiger” Boyd, grandchildren, Michael Merrimon, Joy Nolan-Massey, Dianca Harden, Sherice Hardin, Themah Harden, Brittney Johnson, Gabriel Johnson, Shaina (Johnson) Afful, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Thursday, July 14, 2022, 12-1:00 with funeral to follow at funeral home. Burial in Bordeaux SDA Cemetery.
