Jimmy Marquis Posey Simpson

Jimmy Marquis Posey Simpson, at 27, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on 01/29/23 in his sleep in the comfort of his home.

Jimmy was born on 11/09/1995 and born in Nashville, TN where he was placed with Phyllis E. Simpson at the age of 2 months and soon after he was adopted by Phyllis E. Simpson.  He went Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools where he graduated from Harris-Hillman with a high school diploma in 2018. Jimmy loved listening to music, watching cowboy movies, and being around family.  Jimmy is a twin and they were separated at birth, but this did not stop Jimmy from being a very happy and content young man. There was never a dull moment in his life knowing he always had a loving mother who loved and cared for him his entire life. 

Jimmy was predeceased by grandfather Robert Boyd Jackson, grandmother Josephine Elizabeth Jackson, uncle Robert Boyd Jackson Jr., niece Elizabeth Dominique Posey, cousin Margo Jackson, and aunt Barbara Jean Wilson. He is survived by mother- Phyllis Simpson, siblings- Erica Posey Spann,  John F. Posey III and twin brother Zachary Williams, niece- Lexus Ikeard and Tequila Posey, nephews-Jamal Posey, Jeremy Spann, and Jonathan Spann, aunt and uncles- Shirley (Gary) Carter, David (Norma) Jackson, Paul (Pat) Jackson,  Thomas(Holly) Jackson, Ronnie(Janet) Jackson, Joseph (Diondrea) Jackson, Wanda Phillip, Phillip Jackson, cousins, and friends.

Repass will be held at Grace United church in the fellowship hall at 4033 Dickerson Road Nashville , Tn 37216 after the interment.
