Jerrilyn Collier was the baby girl of six. She was born on March 10, 1965. Born to Ms. Mintie R. Collier, Jerrilyn gained her wings on January 4, 2025.
Jerrilyn attended Metro Public Schools. She successfully obtained her G.E.D. She went on to become employed at Metro Public Schools in the Dietary Department. Jerrilyn also was awarded the Humanitarian Award. Working closely with the homeless is where her heart was. Jerrilyn was an avid member of “Moms (Moms Over Murder).
Friends and family affectionately called her “Jerri”. She was known for her big smile, being the life of the party and radiant personality, and whooping tail.
Jerrilyn was preceded in death by her sons, Avery Collier and Reginald Collier, her mother, Mintie B. Collier and sisters, Shirley and Anita Collier.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Tarita, Henrilyn and Dequan Collier, grandchildren, Calvesha, Mintasia, Calvin, James Elycia, Jermaine, Jessiah, Averi, Elynn, Zaileah, sisters, Bettilyn Bush, Shelia Collier and Sharon Collier, two bonus sisters, Maggi Howse and Kina Bell and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
