Jeffrey Antione Taylor, Sr. was born July 10, 1959, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of James Albert Taylor, Sr. and Ivory Ellis Taylor. This productive life came to an end on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Jeffrey accepted Christ at an early age and was a Christian by faith.
Jeffrey was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools, graduating from Cohn Senior High School in 1977. He continued his education by attending Tennessee State University where he pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity in 1979.
Jeffrey was employed as a truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding and repairing his motorcycles and cars. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Jeffery was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ivory Taylor.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Tia Taylor Cantrell, Jeffery Antoine Taylor, Jr., Dominick Johnson Taylor (Natasha Hardison) and Amber Smiley; siblings, James “Jay Jay” Taylor, II, Jaynice Taylor, Timothy Taylor, Sr. and Judith Taylor; grandchildren, Joymi Johnson, Destini Johnson, Madison Taylor, Makenzi Taylor and Brenesha Harrison; his nephew, Timothy Taylor, II; friends, Robert Green, Brian Abernathy, Larry Smith, Johnathan Allen, Ozzie Lynn, Alvin Goodwin, Leonard Crowe, Phillip Johnson, Frank Hardison, Walter Whitmore and Paul Alexander; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
