Jean Ann Rucker was born September 10, 1941 in Batesville, Mississippi to Jim Braddy and Jessie Mae Robertson Braddy. She departed this life on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Jean was educated in Metro Nashville Public Schools. Jean accepted Christ at an early age as her personal Savoir, she attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Antioch Tennessee, under the leadership of Rev. William Allen. Jean was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Jessie Mae Braddy, son Cyril Maurice Rucker, brothers Jim, Aden, and Percy Braddy, sisters Willie Mae Ellis, Laura Hughes, Linnie Armstrong, Vertiac Limbrick, Naomi Jordan, Margaret Chrismon, Yvonne Dunaway, and Faye Jefferies She leaves to cherish her memories son Spencer (Arnita) Rucker, daughter Carmeletha Mason, devoted granddaughter Demetrius, , grandchildren Rev. D’Arcy Antonio Rucker, Dwanna (Ronnell) Evans, De’Andrea Mason, Dominique Rucker, Key’Aundra Rucker, Myleka Simmons, and Maurice Smith, 10 great grandchildren, 2 devoted nieces Delphine Chrismon, and Valerie Holt, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. visitation Friday, July 2, 2021, 12-6, visitaion Saturday, 9-10 with funeral to follow at funeral home.
