Jean Ann Tansil-Turman

May 30, 1937 — April 15, 2024

An angel was quietly dispatched from heaven, took Jean by her hand and guided her to eternal rest.

Jean Ann Turman was one of nine siblings born to the late Roy and Louise Tansil. She was born May 30, 1937 in Nashville, Tennessee and departed this life on April 15, 2024 at her home residence.

From this union, three daughters were born: Angela Copeland, Patricia Davis, and Sharon Davis (deceased).

After the passing of both of her parents, she relocated to Brooklyn, NY to live near her sisters. She became affiliated with Greater Bright Light Baptist Church, where she worshipped for many years, and worked as director under the leadership of the late Dr. Horace Devore Chapman, Minister, and continued working under the leadership of Brother Grady Zellars, Minister.

In 2014, Jean retired and relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. She attended Hart Street Church of Christ with her family and in 2016, she was baptized and became a faithful member until death. She was a pillar of strength to the family and others; she will be greatly missed.
