James Edward Mitchell

Mr. James Edward Mitchell was born July 23, 1951, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Carl Rufus Mitchell and Edith Carleen Holman. He went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 26, 2024.

James was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools and was a graduate of Pearl High School.

He accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was baptized at Smyrna Assembly of God.

In his spare time James enjoyed fishing, cooking and playing cards. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Edith Mitchell and devoted friend, Charles Page.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Gail Reed, Nathaniel Reed, Chermikay Boyd (Steve) and Lakesha Jordan (Eric), 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, brother, Carl Mitchell, David Mitchell, sisters, Bessie Mitchell, Bertha Mitchell and Betty Mitchell a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
