James Willis Jackson, Sr.

James Willis Jackson Sr. was born on January 1, 1954 to Annie and Herbert Jackson in Detroit, Michigan. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.
James was educated in the Davidson County Public School Systems, graduating from Pearl High School. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with New Wine Ministries.
James was employed with the Municipal Auditorium for over 20 years, doing event setup and custodial work. He loved spending time with family and friends, he also enjoyed watching wrestling, WETV, rifleman, Gunsmoke, and Bugs Bunny. He will be truly missed!
James was preceded in death by his siblings, Herbert Jackson, Archie Jackson, and Annie Jackson. Viewing Thursday Sept. 2, 2021, 2-6, visitation Friday 12-1 with funeral to follow at funeral Home

He leaves to cherish his memories, children Kevin (Kimberly) Jackson, James (Eureka) Jackson, Anthony Lewis, Dewayne Lewis, Albert Morton, grandchildren Donovan, Kevin Jr., Breona, James Jackson III, Dewayne Lewis Jr., Dewaune Lewis, great grandchildren, Natasha Allen, Lakelynne Jackson, siblings, Ethel (Molloy) Robertson, Carol Lockhart, Jesse (Earline) Jackson, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins other relatives and close friends.
