James Greer

James Edward Greer was born on January 19, 1951 in Trousdale County in Hartsville, Tennessee to the union of Charlie E. Greer and Louise Vaden Greer. He departed this earthly life on Monday, October 17, 2022 at his residence in Gallatin, Tennessee.

James was educated in Metro Nashville Davidson County Public Schools, attending Pearl High School. After High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy, receiving an honorable discharge.

James enjoyed art, reading, culinary, playing pool, and spending time with family and friends. He was a wonderful father, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed!!!

James was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie E. Greer and Louise Vaden Greer.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories daughter, Leslie Bracey, son, Demetrius Greer, granddaughter, Imari, brothers, Charles T. Greer of Detroit, MI., Seth Ray Greer (Janice) of Nashville, TN., four sisters, Mary L. Stone, Hattie L. Greer, Lula Kimbrough, and Agnes Greer all of Nashville, TN., uncle, Cleave Vaden, aunt, Opal Harper, loving companion, Christine Elliott, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
