James Davis

Mr. James Edward Davis, Sr. was born on November 29, 1963 in Nashville, Tennessee to Stonewall Davis and Pearline Coleman. He entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

James accepted Christ as his Personal Savior at an early age. He was united with Russell Tabernacle Church in Nashville, Tennessee.

James received his formal education in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School System and attended East High School. He spent this past year in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

He was united in holy matrimony to Cedricka L. Steele on February 20, 2024.

James was employed with several entities to include Nashville Resource Center, Tennessee Wildlife, Dell Warehouse, and Nashville International Airport.

In his spare time James loved to travel and he enjoyed fishing. He was an avid pool player and would challenge his friends to display his skills.

James was preceded in death by his parents Stonewall Sr. and Pearline Davis; sons Tresawn Jasper, Jeremy M. Davis Sr., and James Edward Davis, Jr; grandson Jeremy M. Davis, Jr; brother George E. Coleman; sisters Fannie L. Douglas and Earline McQuiddy; nephew Stonewall T. Davis III.

Those left with precious memories are his loving wife, Cedricka; grandchildren Jeremy M. Davis, Keyasia Frazier, Jarmandez Davis, Alvarez Frazier, Marterrion Davis, Ja’miran Davis ; siblings Stonewall Davis, Jr., (Angela) Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Betty J. Davis, Dorris L. Davis, Michael Davis Sharon Davis, Ceenyatia Davis, special niece Deniecia Davis; stepchildren Joseph C. Steele, Brian Burrell, Jr, Anthony Hall Jr, Antrunette Hall, Alphonso Ewin, Jr, Jeremiah Hall; step grandchildren, King, Kion, and Kash Hall; nieces and nephews Todd, Paul, and Larisa McQuiddy; a host of other loving family and dear friends.
