Hanley Jerome Wade, Sr., was born on June 21, 1944, to Daniel Wade, Sr., and Amanda Wade in Nashville, Tennessee. In the late evening on November 16, 2024, he was called home to be with the Lord at the tender age of 80 years old.
Hanley was a loving and devoted father to four beautiful children: Monica, Nerissa Hanley, Jr., and Samantha Wade. His children were very special to his heart. He was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews and always extended a helping hand or a place to stay, he would even help a stranger.
He was an entrepreneur and business owner for a Janitorial Service, in honor of his late mother Amanda, it was named A-1 janitorial Service. He operated his company, for over 30 years serving the metropolitan area, working alongside with his children Hanley, Jr. (Alicia) and Samantha.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, going for long drives with Nerissa, or talking on the phone to Monica. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play basketball, baseball and playing in the pool outside. Hanley enjoyed cooking for family and friends. He was known for his delicious Salmon Croquettes and his famous Sweet Tea.
Hanley enjoyed spending quality time with his long-time friends, Turnbow, Charlie and David.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Wade, Sr., and Amanda Wade, sisters, Carolyn Bray, Ionia Wigfall and Agnes Wade, Sue Wade, brothers, Joe Wade, and Daniel Wade, Jr.
Those left to cherish his loving memories, daughters, Monica Wade, Detroit, MI., Nerissa Wade and Samantha Wade, and son, Hanley Wade, Jr. all of Nashville, Tn., 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sisters, Deborah (Charles) Bray, Nashville, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends.
