Guynette Crowder

September 29, 1955 — January 14, 2025

Guynette Frances Crowder was born September 29, 1955, and transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Katie Knight Crowder Reynolds and Robert E. Crowder and Stepfather: George Reynolds along with brothers, Preston and Ronald Crowder.

She was a graduate of Maplewood High School and attended the University of Tennessee with an emphasis in English/Journalism and Business Education.

Guynette accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She later united with

Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church and became a member of the Mass Choir and The Voices of GSJ for many years. She also assisted the kitchen staff, modeling in fashion shows and served as presenter of MCs for programs at Greater St. John as well as other churches and occasions.

She was employed by Access...MedPlus for 14 years which was the largest MCO in the state of Tennessee serving over 300,000 members.

Most importantly, Guynette was a Christian lady and had an unselfish love for helping others especially those in failing health. She started her journey as a caregiver at the age of 9 years beginning with our beloved Grover Mallory Knight cousin/brother and continued throughout her life with additional family members and friends.

Guynette also had a knack for personal fashion with an emphasis on shoes and hats as well as home decor and special occasions decorating. With her love for fashion, she was also employed by Dab's Boutique which was owned/operated by her beloved Aunt and Mother: Bertha Roberson and Katie Reynolds.
